I have teamed up with a friend of mine Erik at Slanman Custom. Please visit his FB page. He has a whole line
of inovative products for Hot Wheels tracks. Below is a video featuring individual starting gates.
Positioning the Display Tower at the end of the strip
requires the Long Cord Tree upgrade option.
If you are going to want the placement of the Display Tower near the finish line and placement of the
Christmas Tree near the starting line as pictured above, you will need a longer cord on the Tree.

Photo Eyes in Starting Gate
Requires drilling 2.5mm hole
Flat top photo transistor is super sensitive to ambient light and is flush with track surface to allow even
the lowest profile cars to be detected with pinpoint accuracy.
At the suggestion from one of our customers, we made this angled Tree stand to better suit the birds eye view from
the starting platform characteristic to gravity powered Hot Wheels and Die Cast Drag Racing tracks.

Hot Wheels Stage Placement Theory:
The
objective is the place the car in such a way that it will travel down the slalom as far as possible before first contact with
a side rail. The sooner the contact, the greater the angle of impact and consequently the greater the angle of refraction.
This can cause the car to eventually oscillate back and forth so violently that it can pitch itself over the railing.
This is why a particular car may make several passes without incident and then suddenly pitch and roll. It's
all about placement!
